How does advancement work?
There are different advancement paths for children and adults. Children start with a white belt and then begin by earning stripes before different colors. Then after 4 stripes they progress into different levels of grey, yellow, and orange belts. They can advance into blue, purple, brown, and black belts but typically they transition into adult belts before that point. Adult belts restart at white and there are no between levels like there are with children it is simply white belt to blue, purple, brown, then black. There is further advancement options after that.
